It’s that time of the year for Christmas cards! Ever since I was little, I have memories of watching my mom put together our family Christmas cards. I remember thinking, wow I can’t wait to have my own family holiday cards one day. It’s my first Christmas as a wife, and I couldn’t be happier that Brandon and I are officially a little family with Meyer May and Dash Day. Blessed would be an understatement!
When it came to taking our first family photos together, I knew I needed my trusted wedding photographer and friend, Justin Salem Meyer. He’s super quick at getting the best shots, which Brandon really appreciates. Plus, he just gets exactly what I want and talks me down when my ideas get too Pinterest-y. I can’t wait to keep this tradition going!
When it came to getting them printed, I turned to Basic Invite—who has been creating the perfect card for every occasion since 2006. They have over 280 holiday card designs to chose from, so it was easy to find and personalize my perfect card. I ended up choosing two different designs: this holiday lights one and this one I customized with my own design. They even allow you to add printed mailing addresses and your return address at no cost! My favorite part of the invite? The envelope liner! There are a few liner options to choose from, but I knew we had to use the photo of Dash with the wreath around his neck. I mean who doesn’t want to open a letter with a cute puppy’s head popping out?
As I was putting my cards together yesterday, it was snowing, the Hallmark channel was on, Meyer May was toasting in her favorite spot—by the fire—and Dasher Day was outside eating snow on the deck. It was really the perfect moment. Plus, it helped that Basic Invite’s envelopes are self adhesive so putting them together was too easy. I hope everyone’s holiday is turning out to be just what they hoped for. I know mine is. Cheers!
