I want to thank all the people who texted, emailed, messaged, and called about Tuesday’s post. I am so glad that so many people could relate to what I am going through and it definitely makes me want to continue to share my healthy lifestyle transformation with you.
Today I am sharing four of my favorite ways to start the day. These four favorites all have different ingredients, calories, and prep time. It’s always good to have options for meals, that way your taste buds don’t get bored. I like to drink my Meta D or Bombshell Spell—both TIU recipes—before I workout and even before I have breakfast because it leaves me feeling energized, like I just woke up on the right side of the bed. I try to wake up at least an hour before I workout in the morning to drink my Meta D or Bombshell Spell and have some me time before my hectic day begins.
After my morning workout I come home and make a cinnamon roll protein shake or a skinny omelet. Before I started this much needed life change I would skip breakfast completely. I would usually skip lunch too and over eat at dinner. Not good! The key to starting your day off right is making time for breakfast and all the benefits that come from it. Some of the top benefits include:
- Increased fat burning
- Higher metabolism throughout the day
- Better food choices are made
- Helps regulate your appetite
If these are the benefits that eating a simple healthy breakfast can give you, than you should have no excuses to skip it. Getting up, checking my emails, working out, and eating breakfast in the morning makes me feel like I am starting my routine off right. For me the mornings are the best for working out because I have little to no distractions because my day hasn’t quite started yet. Starting my day off right from now on looks like putting my goals and myself first, so that the rest of the day is open for work and whatever life throws my way.
Hope you enjoy these four recipes!
When I’m most hungry and craving actual food, I make a skinny omelet. It’s packed with protein and easy to custom to your taste buds by adding salsa, pico de gallo, mushrooms, garlic and more. I also like adding citrus in the morning and usually grab a Clementine. Prep time: 10 minutes.
1/3-cup egg whites

Small handful of spinach
1 tbs. red onion
2 tbs. mixture of red, yellow, and green peppers

Pepper to taste
Mix ingredients together and cook in a small omelet pan like this one. The key to cooking this is low and slow!

CINNAMON ROLL PROTEIN SHAKE
When I’m in a hurry but pretty hungry, I make a cinnamon roll protein shake. It seriously tastes just like the gooey inside of a cinnamon roll. Just wait, I’ll share my muffin and pancake recipes with this stuff soon! Prep time: 2 minutes. Prep time: 2 minutes.
