The Cheek family is ready to take on spring, the winter weather has ceased, and the sun is shining. We can finally be outdoors with the pups and Dash has already brought the contents of his toy basket out to the yard. I think I’m at a weird point in my life where I’m thinking I should have been a gardener or open my own floral shop. There’s something about being outside, with the sun shining down on you, dirt in your hands, and flowers on their way into the ground. It calms me. I also just got a new book in the mail and I absolutely love it. Check out my Instagram to see it. It’s inspiring me to do more with my flowers and yard. I am a flower enthusiastic, and finding out all these great new tips has me wanting to get my hands dirty. Its been a long winter not being able to touch my yard and now that its finally time to start planting again I cant wait to get out there and use all the new tips and skills I’ve acquired.
I grew up on acreages and lakes at my parent’s houses—both are immaculate landscapers. We always had the best yard on the block. Their love for beautiful backyards has definitely rubbed off on me. You’ll also never find my kitchen table or island without a vase of fresh cut blooms on it. I love planting growing flowers in my backyard! Maintaining a beautiful backyard isn’t always easy, but there are a few products out there that truly make it easier.
One of my new favorites is Roundup® For Lawns. Did you know that Roundup has been the leading weed killer brand for over 40 years. I don’t know what we would do without it. Our backyard is our prime hangout with its large fenced in area, a deck, and patio that we love to entertain on. But, living in the north we get some nasty weeds, and this year Roundup for Lawns is right there. It kills even the toughest lawn weeds like crabgrass, dandelion, clover and yellow nutsedge. I call it the one and done, it kills weeds but leaves the grass alone, to keep your yard looking fantastic for all your summer needs. I mean check out those fresh cut blooms below courtesy of my weed-free, hydrangea bushes.
Now that the spring showers, flowers, and weeds are here, I use Roundup because it delivers the results that I need and all in one great formula. If you’ve never used this premium product before it has a long comfort wand and easy press button attachment that is hooked up to the product, killing your weeds has never been easier. No pumping!
Remember to keep children and animals away from the product while spraying until the spray has dried. You can pick up this premium product at your local retailer; just remember to double-check the approved grass types.
